“Collective decision making” is now enabled to communities using WeDecide Platform

With our version 1.2 release, WeDecide Platform now offers the “Public Voting” option to groups, organizations and companies willing to unlock the power of collective decision making. As the ideation process continues, public voting of selected proposals enables our clients’ communities to collectively evaluate and select top-prized proposals created by their own members.

What is Public Voting and how it works?

Initial design of the WeDecide Platform allowed only a group of experts or a selected committee to decide which one of the top-prized proposals will move onto the implementation phase. After weeks of design and development, the “Public Voting” option emerged. When enabled, it replaces the selection committee and allows all community members to participate freely in an online public voting process. The results eventually determine the status of proposals in selection, either moving them forward as communities’ final decision or sending them back to generation for further development. Public Voting helps communities to tap to the power of collective decision making transparently and let them stay on the same page. We are very excited to announce this as a main feature of the WeDecide Platform which will be very fruitful for global companies, medium-large organizations, expert groups, NGOs and governmental institutions to develop and select ideas with their stakeholders.

Selection Results

A new tab is added to the proposal page showing the selection committee’s comments describing why proposals are selected for implementation- or are returned back to generation phase for further development.  The inability to show selection committee comments was a major obstacle for effective communication between the members of the community and the selection committee in our previous versions. With the feedback from our clients, we enabled the constructive commenting on proposals in order to improve the quality of ideation.

Improved Email Notifications

Wedecide community is now email smarter.  The system will send reminders to those who have not signed up or have signed up but have not participated yet with a glimpse of what is happening to entice them. Active members will receive activity updates.

New Prizes Page

We have been receiving questions about rewards, prizes, how reward points work.  We have moved the “My Account” page to the right and replaced it with a “Prizes” page where the  relevant prize and reward information will be shared with the community.  This is prime digital real estate for administrators to publicize prizes to be earned, prizes already earned, how it works…
