Erhat, following his education in Astronautical Engineering in Istanbul Technical University, has gained experience while working in small and medium sized software companies as a developer and an analyst for 4 years. In 2006, he joined Deloitte Turkey as a Solution Specialist to develop online/offline strategies for products and services. He also championed the effort to raise awareness of the corporate brand within the company. He is passionate about realizing the dynamic opportunities unleashed by the Web 2.0 -social media enterprise tools for organizations willing to foster knowledge, productivity, innovation and collaboration. He enjoys playing chess and reading about evolutionary biology and cognitive sciences.

Cengiz Bayram cengiz[a]wedecide.net

Cengiz Bayram has extensive experience with .net and open source programming(especially php) and middleware administration(especially Weblogic, WebSphere, IIS) he is responsible for developing WeDecide’s back-end, maintain system. An old mathemathics olympics competitor and scored in top 200 in Turkey’s (famous) university entrance exams. Besides the technical challenges, Cengiz is also passionate to contribute to society with WeDecide. Graduate of Turkey’s best Computer Enginering program at Bogazici University, he has 5 years of programming experience and 3 years of application server management experience mainly in the banking sector (Fortis Bank) and with various free-lance projects. He was rewarded a Project of the Year (Disaster Recovery Center) at FortisBank. He is interested in Philosophy and Psychology…

Dogan Akcay dogan[a]wedecide.net

Dogan Akcay is a software engineer, marketing director, brandmarker and codewriter. For his work as an software engineer, he has finished two Embedded Systems Projects and a Feasibility Study of Surface Acoustic Wave Radio Frequency Identification system for Information Processing Asset Management. Akcay is also noted for his modified less complex insertion sort algorithm project and served as one of the Global Messengers of Software Engineering Code of Ethics and Professional Practice since January 31, 2010.

Erdem Ovacik erdem[a]wedecide.net

Erdem has most recently worked with MYC4, a peer to peer lending platform to channel funds to African entrepreneurs. His work at MYC4 encompassed laying out development path for the platform, and enhancing platform’s value for its stakeholders. He believes that internet provides an opportunity to shift the nature of collaboration, enabling institutions and communities to make better decisions. He has a master in public policy from UC Berkeley and an engineering degree from Bogazici University. Erdem worked as a consultant with McKinsey during 2003-05 out of Istanbul office. He currently operates from Copenhagen.

Janus is an online professional. He worked at Finansforbundet – association for finance sector workers as the webmaster. Previously, he studied Culture at Copenhagen University. He believes in the difference that good communication can make and is excited about how WeDecide can change instituions. Kutlu Kazanci kutlu[a]wedecide.net

Kutlu Kazancı graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering with distinction in 2000.  Kutlu then worked in investment banking for JPMorgan and BCP Securities in New York until 2005 and gained experience analyzing companies from a financial and strategic point of view.  Following a one year assignment as a research analyst to the World Bank Jakarta, Kutlu returned to Turkey to join the founding team of Endeavor’s Turkey office from 2006 to 2008.  Endeavor is an international NGO that supports entrepreneurs in developing countries.  Since 2009, Kutlu has been providing organizational, innovation and entrepreneurship development services and lives in Istanbul.

Niels Kjær Olsen niels[a]wedecide.net

Niels has a business degree from Copenhagen Business School as well as an Information Technology degree. He gained experiences working both with start-ups and with large-scale projects in the creative industry; from Paramount Pictures through fashion to making his own film company. He worked as a project- and event-manager on some of the most ambitious cultural projects in Copenhagen when it comes to engaging the public, politicians and VIPs. He is the founder of *.topia magazine, which has the goal to argue for and entertain the need for long-term thinking within political decision making, as well as engaging all discourses creatively. Niels has further been a part of Nihilist Party in Denmark – created as a reaction to a dysfunctional political system. Niels believes in innovation, in both the public and private space, and has the creative and theoretical foundation to help institutions become more engaging.

Sadullah Ceran makes the front-end of WeDecide a pleasant experience. He is mainly responsible to program the user-interface, and enjoys making your experience as smooth as possible. Also a graduate of Bogazici, Sadullah has 3 years of  experience with banking and various platforms, including a German start-up. He enjoys paragliding and spending time with his family.
